Cookies and browser storage

Mailroom Review does not require a reader account. Our calculators keep their working values in page memory. Reloading the page resets those values; they are not used to build an advertising profile.

The editing session

A signed, HTTP-only cookie keeps an authorised editor signed in for up to 24 hours. It is restricted to this site, uses SameSite protection and is sent securely on the live website. Signing out expires it. Readers do not need to sign in to view an article.

Verification

Pages containing a correspondence or login form load Cloudflare Turnstile when it has been configured. This service evaluates technical signals to help distinguish legitimate use from automated abuse. Blocking the service can prevent submission. Reading articles and using the local tools does not depend on completing a challenge.

Leaving through a merchant link

An affiliate link can include a referral identifier. The destination merchant or network may set cookies under its own policy after you follow the link. You can review that policy before making a purchase and use your browser's controls to remove stored cookies. We cannot operate another site's storage controls on your behalf.

Your browser controls

Browsers let you delete site data and restrict third-party cookies. The names and locations of those settings differ. Restricting cookies may sign an editor out or affect external merchant attribution, but it does not remove our public articles. Our privacy notice explains the information retained by the site itself.
