How links support the journal
An equipment recommendation should begin with the job it needs to do. Our packing-shelf notes describe features, limits and compatibility checks before directing a reader to a seller.
Commercial links
Some links may pay a referral commission when a reader makes a qualifying purchase or completes the partner's qualifying action. Those links are labelled near the placement. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. CJ and other affiliate networks may also attribute referrals when an approved link is followed. A commission does not turn an editorial article into a product test.
What we check
For a specific product, we look for a suitable seller, a credible listing and specifications relevant to the guide. We do not reproduce customer ratings or review counts in public product cards. Manufacturer specifications remain claims from the manufacturer unless we identify separate evidence. We never describe hands-on testing that did not happen.
Product prices, stock and images can change. Amazon-derived prices or imagery, when shown, come from the permitted API cache and expire after 24 hours. If fresh data is unavailable, the card uses our own written selection note and omits the old price and image. A merchant's checkout is the place to confirm the final offer.
Advertisements
An advertisement uses an approved partner creative and is labelled. Placement must fit the surrounding topic and any country restrictions. A historical award page does not rank current carriers by commission, and an advertiser cannot turn a historical nomination into a winner in our reference notes.
Before you buy
Check compatibility, return conditions, consumables and your own workflow. Our packing shelf gives a starting list of questions. The absence of a retailer link means the selection or account review is still incomplete, not that a substitute offer should be assumed.
